Insurance Producers sell insurance to new and present clients.

Fees - application, exam, etc:

Initial: $30, plus $45 license fee.

Examination Information:

Exam Cost: $80 for Life and Health, $80 for Property/Casualty, $70 for Life, $70 for Health.

Pre-Licensing Requirements:

Property/Casualty

• 40 hours of pre-licensed instruction

Life & Health

• 42 hours of pre-licensed instruction

Laws and Regulations

• 8 hours of pre-licensed instruction

Insurance License Prerequisites:

• Have a residence or place of business in Oregon.
• Must disclose any criminal convictions.
• Pass written examination.
• Have fingerprints taken.
• Complete Form 440-3000.
• Must complete required pre-licensing training: 40 hours property and casualty; 30 hour life; 12 hours health; eight hours code.
