Oregon Insurance License Renewal Requirements

Oregon insurance licenses must be renewed every two years. For the first three renewals that you are licensed as a producer (agent), you must complete 44 hours of continuing education (CE) per renewal period ( a renewal period is 2 years). Starting in the seventh year, only 12 annual CE hours are required (equaling 24 hours for each renewal period). All CE hours must be completed by the renewal date and within the current license period.

Producers licensed in 2000 or later

Continuing Education Compliance Date

The compliance date is the license renewal date. The license renewal date is the last day of the month the license was issued.

License Renewal Date

The license renewal date is the last day of the license issuance month at the end of the first year, and biennially thereafter.

Independent self-study courses.
